400,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine out of 1 million doses donated by Japanese government arrives at Tan Son Nhat airport
This comes after the Japanese Government had announced on June 25 that one million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be transferred to the nation in two phases.

The latest donation saw 400,000 doses of the vaccine transported by All Nippon Airways and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on July 2 as part of the first phase, while the remaining quantity will continue to be delivered to the country on July 8 during the second phase.

Along with a batch of one million vaccine doses which arrived in the nation on June 16, the Japanese Government presented a total of two million AstraZeneca vaccines to Vietnam, all of which were produced in Japan.

The flight numbered NH833 by All Nippon Airways had initially departed from Japan’s Narita Airport before landing safely at Tan Son Nhat at 2:47 a.m. on July 2, with the first vaccine batch having a total weight of 934.6 kilo and consisting of five boxes of RKN.

The preservation process of the vaccine batch will be conducted in line with stringent requirements throughout transportation with the vaccines being kept in temperature-controlled shipping containers and unloaded immediately from the aircraft to the warehouse for preservation.

The latest batch of vaccines are currently being stored at the warehouse of Tan Son Nhat Cargo Services Joint Stock Company (TCS), while customs procedures for the shipment will be completed as soon as possible to be transferred to vaccine storage facilities.
